Bishop Edward J. Weisenburger had his installation Mass on Nov. 29 as the new bishop of Tucson, Arizona. He replaces Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas.
Bishop Edward Weisenburger has been named as successor to Bishop Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, Arizona. Kicanas is 76 years old and has led the diocese since 2003. “I am humbled to follow in the footsteps of a shepherd who has served graciously and generously for many years,” Weisenburger said upon learning of his new assignment.
