The same woman has been cleaning my house for about 20 years. She’s not very good at it — and has gotten less so over the years — but out of loyalty I kept her on.
Recently, when we were having some work done on our house, we asked her to stop coming while the construction crew was there. And then, once the workers left, somehow we never asked her back. My husband found another person to clean, and the new person does a much better job.
Do I need to be back in touch with our original cleaning person? Do I owe her anything?
