I work and make a comfortable living. During my normal workday, I pass a few homeless guys, each of whom asks for a small financial gift to help ease his situation. I can easily afford it and don’t have a worry about them buying booze (what business is that of mine, really?).
Some days I offer, others I’m actually too lazy to stop and dig around for a dollar or so. Or too rushed, pressed to get to my next thing on time. Do I have a moral obligation to stop and give?
