My family and I are moving to California from the East Coast, and in the rush of details, I’ve forgotten one thing: the dog. We haven’t made arrangements to move our beloved, smallish, pet cross country and we’re leaving in two days.
But I have an idea. Certain pets are allowed on planes as “service animals” if they’re part of therapeutic treatment for anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Might I ask a doctor friend to give me a last-minute diagnosis of one of these, and a prescription for a service animal, so that I might board the plane with Fido?
