Archbishop Harry Flynn, who led the archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis from 1995 to 2008, has died. He was 86.
The Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis said Wednesday that he has opened an investigation — which is believed to be the first of its kind under a new Vatican protocol — into allegations that a bishop in northwestern Minnesota interfered with investigations into clerical sexual misconduct.
The new outreach coordinator for restorative justice and abuse prevention for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis said healing “takes a lot of personal work” and “a lot of inner strength to recapture the power that has been taken away from you.”
