Argentine martyrs’ road to beatification recalls period of military rule

Bishop Enrique Angelelli Carletti, two priests — Conventual Franciscan Father Gabriel Longueville and Father Carlos de Dios Murias — and Wenceslao Pedernera, a pastoral worker, will be beatified on April 27. They are the Martyrs of La Rioja, victims of Argentina’s military regime in the 1970s.
