    In a June 26 “Service of Lament,” Bishop James V. Johnston Jr. of Kansas City-St. Joseph told survivors of clerical sexual abuse and the community, ““I am here to confess, apologize and repent for the sins of those who held the sacred trust of the Church, and betrayed that trust.”
