Boston cardinal: Getting COVID vaccine 'morally correct thing to do'

The final debate in the 2020 presidential race ended with topics important to the church in the U.S. and around the world: immigration and families, climate change, racism and health care.
The COVID-19 pandemic, abortion and the Supreme Court, and race were among the top issues debated by Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, and Vice President Mike Pence Oct. 7 at Kingsbury Hall on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Both Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence claim to be influenced by religion, and by Catholic social teaching, in the way they approach public policy questions, and the two men sparred over it during Tuesday night’s Vice Presidential debate.
