Shortly before Fox News announced the decision to dismiss Bill O’Reilly following numerous sexual harassment allegations, the Catholic top-rated host was seen shaking hands with Pope Francis at his general audience on April 19. Last year O’Reilly had criticized the pope’s views on immigration as lax.
