Relatives of a Jesuit priest who was kidnapped in Syria six years ago say they have been living in a “limbo” with no information of his whereabouts.
Father Maurizio Pallù, 63, was kidnapped together with four companions in the southern Nigerian city of Benin. The motive for his kidnapping and the identity of the perpetrators remain unknown. On Friday, papal spokesman Greg Burke took to Twitter to say Pope Francis has been informed of the kidnapping, and he’s praying for the Italian priest.
