Latest papal health scare doesn't mean the end, but it may mean change

As the United States presidential elections draw nearer and candidates on both sides tout their position on life issues as reasons for their electability, the Vatican’s top official in the area has cautioned against turning life into an ideological weapon.
Nearly one-third of Americans view being a Christian as “very important” for being “truly American,” according to a Pew Research Center report on national identity. Speaking English, sharing American customs and traditions and having been born in the U.S. were all considered more important than being Christian, the study found.
