After months of quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Vatican will open its gardens and several buildings to the children of its lay employees for summer camps in July.
The Vatican is under pressure to let more employees work from home as several of its offices remain open two weeks after the Italian government ordered people to stay home and shut down all non-essential businesses in an urgent attempt to contain the coronavirus.
Everyone, including the pope, has someone they should thank God for and someone they should apologize to, Pope Francis said.
One sign of holiness is being able to “be astonished, to feel wonder before God’s gifts, his ‘surprises.’ And the greatest gift, the ever-new surprise is Jesus,” Pope Francis told Vatican employees on Dec. 21.
