Pope Francis told global business and government leaders that everyone has the moral responsibility to seek the integral development of all people, but especially those who are in need, suffering injustice or whose lives are threatened.
While a small vatican delegation at the World Economic Forums in Davos did not have a papal message this year, they still decided “to try something new.”
Pope Francis told a gathering of world leaders, which was scheduled to include U.S. President Donald Trump, that the world “cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of millions of people whose dignity is wounded, nor can we continue to move forward as if the spread of poverty and injustice has no cause.”
