While on a vacation, my mother-in-law gave me gifts I don’t like. Unfortunately, they’re all liquid: perfume, air freshener, and a bottle of body lotion. We are flying home, and I don’t want to pay $25 to check a bag so I can export stuff I’ll never use back home. I’d prefer to leave it as a gift for the hotel staff. My husband says that’s rude, and that we should respectfully accept the gifts and take them with us.

Who’s right?

Sincerely,
Ungrateful
