One immigrant from Mexico says with this new bishop, “We can experience the love of God having someone understand what our hearts and souls are in need of.”
Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama Pasqualetto, a native of Colombia, has been appointed by Pope Francis as the next bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina. Zarama will replace Bishop Michael F. Burbidge, who was transferred to the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
