Katharine was one of the wealthiest people in the United States and could have done anything she wanted. Fresh from consistory, new cardinals greet family, friends

After receiving the scarlet frock by Pope Francis June 28, the five new cardinals greeted friends and family beaming with pride. Cardinal Louis-Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun, the first from Laos, said that his red clothes which represent a willingness to suffer for the faith, assumed a new meaning: “red also means love,” he said.
