    Bill Patenaude, the co-founder of the Global Catholic Climate Movement, says that Pope Francis’s teaching on the environment is in complete continuity with that of emeritus Pope Benedict XVI and St. Pope John Paul II, but to date more conservative Catholics really haven’t gotten on board — raising the risk, he says, that the message is being carried by only half the Church.
