I have a very good friend who recently ended a very tumultuous relationship with the father of her two children (together about 15 years; never married). He has anger issues and can be pretty explosive. They share custody 50-50.
Last night I found out from my husband, who found out from our son, that the ex was in an airport with their 11-year-old, and due to missing a flight got so angry that he was arrested. I don’t know any more details than that — what happened to the kid while the dad was in custody, whether the dad got verbally abusive or even physical with anyone on the scene.
I don’t know if my friend knows about this. I’m her closest confidante and she’s not mentioned it to me. Our son told my husband in confidence: he found out from one of the kids.
Do I tell her??
